Since then, he has written guidebooks for the Tour du Mont Blanc and the Walker's Haute Route: Chamonix to Zermatt. He was a corporate lawyer for 20 years and was a partner at an international law firm. In 2018 he stopped being a lawyer to start Knife Edge Outdoor Guidebooks.
